On Thursday 24th February Tawa College held its school athletics sports. As entries were higher than in previous years, some events took place in preceding lunchtimes.

On the day itself students were allowed to compete in their house colours, and spectators were also encouraged to dress in the colour of their houses.

It was an excellent occasion during which Tim Hodge and Moses Patelo broke records. The winning house overall was Te Kanawa (yellow).
