On Tuesday 7 March 2006, 24 Tawa College Environment Committee members, Prefects and House Leaders travelled to Titahi Bay to clean up the beach. Despite the blustery weather we had a great time combing the beach for rubbish and within an hour had removed three full bags of litter from the beach. The clean-up was followed by a quick but delicious barbeque, after which it was time to head back to school. We thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to give a little back to the community through helping the environment.
