Tonight sees another milestone in the life of the Tawa College Music Department. Roy Tankersley, who preceded Shona Murray as HOD Music at Tawa College, began the tradition of 'Monster Listen Ins'. It is a tribute to his vision that these concerts still remain a highlight of our school's musical calendar. Tonight's 'Monster Listen In' features the launch of the Tawa College Dawn Chorus CD 'Making Tracks'. It is a fitting conclusion to Shona's 22 years as HOD Music at the College. It is also appropriate that this CD was co-directed with colleague Murray Cameron who will now take over the leadership of the Music Department. He is ably supported by Martin Burdan and Charlotte Murray who are both integral to the choral, instrumental and classroom programmes at the school.
