DRESS UNIFORM
Dress uniform will be worn, as determined by the Principal, on formal occasions, and for interschool visits. While it is not necessary or compulsory at junior level, it becomes necessary as a student advances in the school. It is essential for the first teams in all codes, and for school groups like the Dawn Chorus when they appear in public.
BOYS: College blazer, white long sleeved shirt, black leather lace-up shoes, plain grey socks, College tie (red, blue and gold stripes) long grey wool/polyester trousers.
GIRLS: College blazer, long sleeved white fitted blouse, College tie (plain blue with crest), College tartan skirt, black leather lace up shoes, white socks with royal blue band or medium brown pantyhose.
EXTRA ITEMS FOR GIRLS & BOYS.
BLAZER, COLLEGE TIE, SCARF, SUNHAT and CAP are available from the College Uniform Shop. Blazer hire is now also an option.

YEAR 13
Year 13 students are not required to wear the standard uniform although Dress Uniform may be required on certain occasions. However, because of the number of Year 13 students (approximately 1 out of every 6 pupils in the school) and the need to maintain security on our grounds and in our buildings, the Board has decided that Year 13 students will wear a form of common mufti of approved T-shirts, sweatshirts and the Tawa College senior or regulation rain jacket or College tracksuit top.
Any dress agreed to by the Board is an addition to and not a replacement of the uniform, and any students who in the opinion of the Principal or Year 13 deans have forfeited the privilege will continue to wear the regular school uniform.
OBTAINING THE UNIFORM.
All items are supplied at the Tawa College Uniform Shop, located at the southern end of A Block. The entrance to the shop is by the sun canopy at the top of the driveway. There is no other authorised supplier of Tawa College uniform. The College colours are royal blue, scarlet, and gold.
Those staffing the College Uniform Shop will provide good advice as to uniform requirements. The Board is also pleased that it is able to offer items to parents at cheaper cost because it has taken over the task of selling uniforms through the College Shop.
Please read the uniform requirements above before you purchase any articles intended for school wear.
Subject to annual approval by the Board, Year 13 students may be permitted to wear common mufti.
By resolution of the Board of Trustees, students are required to wear the College uniform as set out in the prospectus (as detailed on this and the previous page).
