Tawa College's Valentine's Day celebratory concert in 2006 took place on 15th February due to an unavoidable clash of events, both of which required the use of the hall. Despite this announcement's less-than-appreciative reception, it proved to have no detrimental effect on the spirit of the day. If anything, this postponement served to contribute to the day's impression of individuality, and we take pride in our famous and traditional Valentine's Day concert filling the hall right back to the foyer every year.

One memorable part of the show was the newly-introduced mime competition which invited audience members to grace the stage with their best-mimed performances of Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing". Each participant did a fantastic job, with a particularly noteworthy performance by Simon - our Danish Exchange student - in a dancing extravaganza that could rival Elvis himself.
